Question: Erratic Headlights

2001 and the headlights are erratic. Turn on and driver's side comes up. Turn off and driver's side goes down and up 5 times stopping in down position or close to down position. I manually raise passenger's side and it will operate normally until next day when it doesn' raise. Can someone help me?

I'm going to guess that it's the gears that are worn out and need replaced.

I replaced the gears with aluminum gears last year. I've been told it may be the Headlight Control Module so I have ordered one. Thank you for your reply.
