were there evr a recall on our digital dashes back in the 80"s???
i mean if there was ever a safety issue i would say i complete blacked out dash would be it?? it seems like us 1986 corvette guys have the most problems with our dashes going out? or is it all years from 1984 to 1990??

I think pretty much all of the digital clusters are prone to their share of problems. The technology used in those clusters was frankly beyond it's time in the mid-80s. Given that....they really didn't do all that bad.

The most common problems based on my experiences are the connector between the two boards not making good connection, the photocell going bad, the halogen lamps getting too hot and causing connection issues, and the LCDs cracking. There are other problems, but those seem to be very common.

Yours just doesn't come up at all?
