Has anyone here ever had a CV joint failure with a C5. I'm particularly interested if anyone with stock or lightly-modified cars have had CVs go out.

At 110K mi. mine went bad.
It was cheaper to buy the whole shaft including the joints than buying the joints seperatly.
280.00 ( shaft and 2 joints , assembled ) overnighted from fitchner chevy vs 275.00 each joint at the local dealer.
I was unable to find any aftermarket replacements.
ps . I saw your post on another forum also but didn't respond there.

The axle shaft you bought---was that a remanufactured shaft or a new GM part?
