Hahahaha... screw you!!! My vette's sitting in the garage right now with the tranny dropped out. And even if it was bolted in, I still have way too much stock on it. Give me a couple of years and I'll be postin sweet shots like that too. :dance

Ya know, I never made it into 3rd. Shoulda, but didn't. The tranny & torque converter are well worn. I've had it adjusted and re-adjusted, but once the trans warms up, it wants to hold the 2-3 until I ever so gently lift off the throttle. That first run was my best of the day, they then got consistently slower.

I was able to do a brief street test after I got home from BG. I lifted off the throttle around 5400rpm, and it bumped into 3rd right into my peak HP band at 5250rpm. I noticed the speedo started climbing faster than when the car is in 2nd at 5500rpm+. It also felt faster on my calibrated butt-dyno :cool

I think you're right though. I'm expecting many good things with the 700R4. Only problem (if you can call it that) is going to be the necessity of new tires (or tire/rim combo) if I want to be running off the line. I like white letter tires on the car with the current rims, but I don't know of any hi-perf tires that have white letters anymore.
I'm still looking forward to it though and laughing...better 1/4mi times/speed, higher top speed, AND increased gas mileage!!!! Hahahah.... :eek

69MyWay, I was thinking about doing the same kind of intro/outro for the C5 crash clip. Like showing a stat of Total Time from 0 - 15 - 0mph and a Breaking (er, I mean Braking) Distance from 15mph @ 162 feet.

Cream79L82, waiting is the hardest part (also the longest! ). I had my car for years before I got it to where it is now. 69MyWay is another one who can tell ya about rebuilding to a vision. But when it's done, it all seems sooo worth it!

I've been going over the Top Speed run clips again, and I'm not sure if I'm going to bother posting. I'm not exactly happy with the footage I got. Plus, it'd be a long clip for not being all that exciting. I don't know...Maybe I'll just get the clip from up on the bridge and make the speedo footage a PiP shot. Yeah, I'll probably do that.
From up on the bridge, the car literally sounds like a jet plane barreling dow the highway. You can hear it just cutting the air and sucking the rest in to the carb. And then noticing that I'm going twice as fast as the other car(s) in the scene....hahahahah :Roll Oh OK...maybe I just talked myself into finishing it... :L :L
