Exhaust Question

The exhaust set up on my newly purchased vette is a true dual set up, but what strikes me as odd is all of the smog equipment and everything was put back on. I wish I could get pictures, but I'm 2k miles away from my baby atm Was there a kit that came out for these cars that was like that, also, the exhaust has numerous heat shields. I have looked under it some, but my dad put it on a lift and was telling me about it (again, why am I so far away! never buy a new toy when you know you are leaving for an extended period haha)

Corvette Central offers a true dual kit that replaces the entire stock system. The smog equipment would all hook-up except for the air line that goes to the cat. This would not effect the smog equipment operation or anything, but it would not pass a visable inspection unless the inspector did not use a mirror to look under the car, was "blind" or did not care.

Nice system, thinking about putting it on my '81.
