Exhaust Smell

2003 Corvette coupe

Under hard acceleration the cabin fills with exhaust smell. Is this a common problem or just my problem?
I should add that it is with the window/windows down

not common. Thats dangerous keep the windows open until you get it fixed!

If you have to drive it baby it around and get it fixed asap. That is like playing with fire.

I agree completely with the folks above- this is not normal for any car. You should not be smelling exhaust fumes inside the car. And as BV pointed out, exhaust contains a percentage of Carbon Monoxide- this can kill you. I highly recommend you take it in for servicing immediately.
