How close to the bumper can the exhaust tips safely be? My new exhaust puts them pretty close. I'm sure I will have to adjust it a bit to open the clearance up (it all but touches, right now), but I don't know how much clearance I will be able to get.

it kind of depends on what kind of exhaust you have, if its like mine was, i just had regular stock shorty headers and pipes back to flowmater 50's......... the tip was about 1/2 inch away, and after about 2 months, the fiberglass itself was a little warped, not to mention i had to clean carbon off the bumper every few days................ my tips ended very close to the bumper, they only stuck out about an inch..... just be careful........ i think the bumper reinforcement was the first thing to show any warping so watch that and see......... i kinda wanna see other peoples opinions too....... thats just my expierience..........

tailpipe to cover clearance

Joe - I have mine at about 1" - 1.25" . I have enclosed two photos.

Thanks. I've been adjusting but I can't get more than 1/2" or so of clearance.

Could someone post a picture under the car, from the rear? I want to see how the pipes run in relation to the rear suspension area, to make sure they are lined up correctly.
