exhaust

recently purchased an LT4.. very nice car..24000 miles.
It has the Power Effects exhaust system. Anyone have any info
on dealing with the resonance issue?
Also, I notice a strange "burnt" smell...not an engine type thing... wondering if it may be the exhaust???
Any input appreciated
