I have a car w/ a piggyback computer and have a few questions...

First, does anyone have or know where I could get tuning software for the SpeedPro Ign box - it is being used in conjunction w/ a http://www.fasttrackperformance.com/ piggyback to control the injectors under boost...

eight 42lb injectors, Addl. two injectors were removed and replaced w/ dummy plugs - car has 10 injectors and used Greddy aux fuel ctrl to add gas under boost... It is gone -

Wondering if:
a. I should go back to Greddy setup...
b. Tune what I have if I can get the software...
c. Go back entirely to the Corvette ECM and get the chip to do all the work - w/ a box like Greddy's to control two addl injectors under boost.

Wondering what others thoughts are on this...

Thanks in advance! :m

...suitable replacement for MicroFueler??

The Rebic IV is designed to help add additional fuel to any forced induction system. Install additional injector(s) on your charge pipe, serge tank or intake manifold and program the Rebic IV to control the additional injector(s)' duty cycle. This unit works independently from any other system and it can supplement your main system (factory, stand-alone, even carburetors). Control 1 to 8 sub-injectors by tuning in a fuel map from three adjustable parameters: boost, RPM and injector duty cycle.

These are some post that I found from 632C2. I would try to email him. It sounds like he has a good handle on this. Hope this helps. :)

Kevin: The A/F I want is 12.5:1. I am modifying the chip but I dumped the Micro Fueler years ago. I am using an AIC by Greddy.

Kevin: My injectors actually flow 76#/hr @ 83psi. I sent them to RC Engineering for blueprinting. I have spent a good amount of money and a great deal of time with an Accel DFI system. I eliminated the two additional injectors and tried two different sets of injectors as well as systems. The first setup consisted of Bosch 37# injectors and removing the factory ECU and replacing it with the DFI. I eventually replaced that system with one consisting of 50# injectors I bought from MSD and piggy-backing the DFI with the factory system. To make a very long story short, I was never satisfied with the driveability of the DFI so I decided to go back to the factory ECU along with the two additional injectors.

A lot of people have told me over the years that the two additional injectors were a crappy way to go and eliminating them was the best thing to do. I can tell you that nothing can beat the driveability of the factory ECU. And as far as the two additional injectors, well they seem to be working pretty well for me.

One thing I should clear up is that the last version of CalMap I used was 6.32 and I am sure that the new crop of aftermarket ECU's are greatly improved over the one I used. Irregardless of that, I am sticking with what I have.

Mine is the Rebec III. I bought it back in the mid 90's. I also use their Simulator. It looks like the replacement for these two units is the Rebec IV.

If anything happens to my Rebec, I am going to take a hard look at the TurboFueler from BlowerWorks. I just purchased my fuel pumps from Greg at BlowerWorks and he seems to have a first class company.

Surf & RedmanF1 - thanks both of you! :m

I had forgotten he had replaced his microfueler w/ the Greddy - I think he seemed happy with it based upon what I read here...

Does anyone - or Steve - if you see this, have pics of underhood - wondering how "stock" looking it is...

Also, where is the Greddy mounted ?

Right now, everything I have is in the ABS sinkwell behind the seat...
It too, apparently piggybacks off the stock ecm.

Thanks in advance for any input :m

Chris, the Greddy unit I use consists of a controller that is mounted in my glove box and the pressure sensor / injector driver that I have mounted behind the battery.

I am satisfied with this unit because of its simplicity. There are probably better units out there now but at the time I bought this is was quite good.

Steve, Thanks - I too have an ECM of sorts behind the driver seat made by SpeedPro but the problem is, they are out of business (by lawsuit apparently) and I don't have the tuning software :(

The car when originally modified had a Greddy, maybe the same one you run but it was ditched along w/ the front two injectors for eight 42 lb injectors and the Speedpro box w/ the Fasttrackperformance.com link betweenit, and the stock ecm/chip.

While I would like to stay w/ the current setup, if the software isn't avail, then the Greddy box is probably the way to go.

How was ease of use/tune?

Thanks in advance! :m

Ease of use is very good. It doesn't get much simpler. You set the on RPM, on Boost, and the finished Boost. It has worked everytime with zero problems. I have the Rebic III but they have a more advanced unit available now.
