where is it located?
can it go bad?
what other factors would make it take forever to read a temp. and then display one that would be roughly 30 degrees off?

i'm helping out my dad again but haven't seen it first hand any ideas??

Not sure of the exact location but it is somewhere behind the front fascia.

The exterior temp sensor is the probable cause of the temp taking so long to register the correct reading.

This has been a GM issue for years on many different models, not just Corvette. I believe they run less than $10 at the dealer.

does anyone know the part # for these???

EDIT: is the part # 10248414 at the price of $11.94

and the little push in retainer is $.68

thank you. when I went to edit my post your wasn't there yet. may I ask where you got the # from.
