My car runs 55 Hg boost (max). I've heard and read conflicting information as to whether this is stock or not:

Callaway manual shows 50 Hg max
I've been told my increased boost is due to my large exhaust with no cats (?)
I've also been told my wastegates must've been adjusted (?)

One thing I do know, the thing just eats up the road! Seems to make enough power to have a severe traction problem, even in the dry. I've virtually given up quarter miles as last time I ran (embarassing traction limited times, don't ask!) I spun the tyres through 1st gear, all through 2nd, into 3rd and even into 4th I chirped the tyres and the back skipped a bit! Track may have been a bit slippery though it was dry and I was changing at 4500 - 4700 rpm. Are these things torquey or what!?

What do you guys reckon, stock boost or altered?

That is the stock boost level. The 1987 cars ran 10 pounds of boost. The later cars were running 12.3 pounds of boost . Your car is right on track as to where it should be.

Malc, Euro spec B2K's were slightly different than USA spec cars and some of that may be due to different (EPA) standards, but your boost level seems to be on track...

To figure you boost out, take your HG reading which in your case is 55hg's :upthumbs

subtract 55 - 29.92 which = 25.08

Take 25.08 and divide by 2.036 which equals 12.3 psi

Hope this helps, enjoy your B2K :m
