I was looking at their website today....

TPI Base $375
Runners $215
Plenum $160

All I can say is speed costs...how fast can you afford to go?

That process Surf, came to market really in 1991... At that time, it was one of the few ways you could improve airflow on a stock intake setup as the early 90's were rather limited w/ respect to manifold choices...

I have seen tests where it (process) is as good or better than an aftermarket EFI Manifold and when combined w/ an aftermarket piece, it is killer...

Remember, airflow is only one side of the equation - more air in, more fuel needed :upthumbs however, it all improves the process...

Old issues of "TURBO " Magazine had extensive testing of this and I am a believer of the process :)

..you gotta pay to play ;)

:L :L :L :L :L Yes I don't want to put the miles on the Civic.

That's interesting about Extrude Hone. I've never heard of that before. I take it, you bring your car in and they essentially smooth out the inner walls of the air intake system? Did Callaway do anything to the intake system generally? I mean, did they smooth it out or replace any parts with better parts?

Does the car's computer system (cant remember what its called) automatically adjust for increased airflow? Will it realize that the airflow has increased and therefor supply gas at a higher rate?

And, btw Surf, good choice on the car combo! I too have my Callaway, but then a Civic for when I get bored! ;LOL

On the Twin Turbos, it was a factory TPI finished in black - The SNAT's had ported intakes and a larger (up from 48mm) 52mm throttle bodies added

The "ECM's" are a bit more "forgiving" for mod's on the Mass Airflow sensor cars (87-89 and then the later SNAT's) However, Callaway has some great tuning built into their calpacks (chips) and changes can be updated if desired...

Hope this helps :beer

Thanks for the info! I guess, if I ever get into any further mods, I'll just come back to the people on this forum first for everyone's oppinion!

The wonderbar upgrade - is that more effective on a TT, or does it work for a SNAT as well??

Wonder bar is TT only upgrade. The Wonderbar is the cross section of frame on the car. Callaway used it to move air back to the turbos.

Surf - I looked at an 88 over the weekend - The crossmember on that one was so small - maybe 3/4" x 3" x the width of the frame...

The Callaway Wonderbar is HUGE by comparison :upthumbs

Did you ever post the top / bottom pics of yours?????

I haven't posted the bottom ones yet. I have a new license plate to bolt up tomorrow, I'll see if I can grab some pics of the bottom side of the wonderbar.
