Like the title says I have a 69 steering wheel, I'm not sure on the exact year but friend said thats what it was since the color, My Dad got it new way back in 72 or 73 when He had a Corvette,it has never been on a car. It has two little marks on it from sitting in a box for 35 years,

Hi

For info:

I don't think the steering wheel is 68 one, looks more like 69 up.

68th where brown plastik wood fake same like the 67 wheel. No silver ring on the outside diameter.

Ok, thanks I realy dont know to much about it just what my Dad said,

Check the diameter..69s were 1 inch smaller in dia.
I think the 68s had a 16" dia. 69s were 15" I think..

My 69 is an early 69 and has what I believe to be a left over 68 wheel which was put on mine when built. I ran into this while looking for a new wheel, and was told at the end of a year some left over parts would go on the next model year. Mine is a reddish brown fake wood , without silver ring, I'll let you folks correct me if this couldn't be the case cause I want to go back to a stock look.

It's possible. Early '69s have been documented with "leftover" '68 parts, especially the chrome trimmed grilles. There is a documented '69 with code 411 dark blue '68 upholstery.

You may have a '68 steering wheel and it may be original.

:)
