I made the conversion to a big block. My fan shroud suffered the consequences.
I'm putting on new heads, intake and cam and roller tipped rockers. I figure thats a good enough time to change my shroud.
I'm just wondering. Should I buy a bb shroud or would it make a difference. Are they the same?
If I have a choice. Which would be better?
Thanks guys....

I made the conversion and used my old SBC shroud and radiator. My Vette is a 75 with A/C, so it already had the big radiator and heavy duty clutch and fan. I still use the shroud, but it is now a 3 piece, due to a broken water pump shaft incident.

I did build an extension ring for the shroud, installed a new heavy duty clutch and 18" blade, which helped increase the fan's ability to pull more air through the radiator.

Wow, you can get away with a big block in a '77 in calif????

tom...

Yeah Tom,
I'm one of the lucky ones. I'm in the military so I claim TX.
I guess the answer is to get the small block shroud. I didn't imagine a difference...but I thought I'd ask.
