Fans on 1996 LT1 Corvette

Ok, I've searched the forums high and low and read just about every post on the subject but I'm still not clear on something:

I have two fans, primary (left side) and secondary (right side)....is the primary fan suppose to kick on at given temperature? or is the primary set to a lower degree and should heat build up the secondary fan kicks on? I know if I turn the A/C on both fans are working but I have yet to understand when the primary should kick on v. the secondary.

The primary fan will always be the first on, the secondary fan is an emergency cooling fan. The a/c does kick the fans on.

I don't know the temperature setting for the LT-1 fans.

I believe the fans on your 96 are the same as my 95. They run in concert. Have
2 speeds (Hi & Lo). They come on at( if memory serves) 226* (Lo). Hi speed is 235*. Sitting in traffic on a 90* day, with a/c on, my temp stays at 205*.
