I live in a small New England town right on theMassachusetts New Hampshire border. It's located at the bottom end of the Green Mountains and as a result it is in a nasty "snow belt". Around here guys talk more about the horse power of their snow blowers than their cars. I'm pretty sure I have the only late model Corvette in town (population 7,500). In fact these guys are much more interested in John Deere tractors and Massey Furgeson hay bailers.

Here's my issue - Yesterday (October 25th) we got a couple of inches of snow. Unfortunately it will just keep getting worse. By mid November there will be four foot snow bankings right through the end of March. Got to put the Corvette away. New England is a great part of the country but sometimes I envy you folks in the warmer climates.

Regards - Remo

So with the winters so looooong I suggest you build an LT1 equipped John Deere Snowblower. Man you could sling VW's onto roofs with that baby!!!

Second option is to bring your vette down to VA and store it in my garage for the winter. I promise I will exercise it every other day. (got to give my C-4 an occasional outing to you know1)

Remo,

I know how you feel. Up until a couple years ago, I lived in Windham, NH all my life which is on the MA/NH border but east of where you are.

I hated winters up there. I miss New England....and Beantown, but don't miss the weather.

Remo - I had the day off yesterday and planned on running the roads in the 82 - NOT! I went and bought a used plow truck instead:D (been putting it off). See ya over at J&B Grill sometime.

Note to 82-Guy

Vette-Dude has a pretty good idea. About the LT1/Snowblower - not about sending my car down to his place for the winter.

Imagine this: An LT1 hooked up to 60" x 45" auger with a 6 foot high 2 -stage shoot. Now imagine this: You know how the town plow guys can turn a 28" snow storm into a 6 foot pile at the end of your driveway? Well, with the LT1 Snowblower you could sit out there and wait for him to come down the street and "nail" him. The LT1Blower would have such a velocity that it would turn his evil truck into a rolling snow bank. By God - the next time he came by he would turn the angle of his plow in a different direction. Vette-Dude, great idea.

Snowbound soon - Remo

I'd be happy if they left the mailboxes standing:D. Last year they managed to hit a granite boundary marker which stood for over 200 years. No, it wasn't burried under snow :eek.
