Has anyone installed the fender screens on their vette, my wife bought a set from ecklers and you have to take the tires off, panel off, sand spot for gluing block behind screen. anyone bought these where they fit in without gluing ?

Yea, the ones I bought go on with the 3M double sided tape, like the stuff that is used to hold emblems, trim, etc. So far they have held on good.

I bought them off Ebay, from user : floridacorvettes

They really aren't bad to install. The ones I bought came with a couple of tabs of the 3M double sided tape. I didn't feel too secure in trusting just a couple of tabs, so I went to the auto supply store and bought a small roll of the tape. I added a strip of the tape to the other side of the screen. The hardest part of this mod is taking the fender access panels off and putting them back on.

Once you get the screen "formed" (you have to bend it around a little bit, easily done with your hands, to make the screen fit the curved opening) you must clean the mating surface thoroughly with the alcohol wipe they include. Me, I just got my bottle of rubbing alcohol and a paper towel and wiped the whole area around the vent. I added the second strip of 3M tape to the one side of the screen and stuck it in the opening. That tape sticks like glue.
