Da Hawaiian Punch

I've been waiting for a long time to be able to sport some chromed rim's, I've had polished ones before and I do like them very much, but chromed ones some how have a special way of making a car "classie".

I know a lot of you dont like "wings" on vette's which is fine, but those who dont care one way or the other, I'm polishing mine to match with the shinny rim's. I should be done with it in a few weeks, I dont have very much time to work on it, so I'm doing a little at a time.

i think the wing would look good polished... how low is your car??

It's pretty low, it cant go any futher, in front anyway, the back can go a lot lower but then iy wouldnt match the front wheel well to tire gap, also I have the 18' wheels on the back so the car will be a little higher then the front regaurdless. When I had the 17's on the back it was rediculessly low, of course I had no problem with that.
On the wing it alredy partly polished but will continue to work on it till I'm Pau. (Done)
The car does look good with the wing, but for some strange reason, picture wise it doesnt seem to look to good, I cant explain it, I've tried all kinds of angles but still cant seem to bring out the best view of the car with the wing. some local memebers here who saw the car in person said to me that it looked a lot of different in person then on the forum, they liked it on there and said that it didnt look as big as it does on the forum, it went with the natural curves of the car. But remember this, we are in Hawaii and the term "Rice" really doesnt exist over here.

Hey there, aloha. Did the wheels bolt up directly? Are they the same offset as the correct year wheels? I was looking at a set of C-5 thin spokes for my '96. They would look pretty good.:_rock

Nice car except for the wing. Bag The Wing Man you dont want to be one of those riceboys!
Sorry Brah, the "rice" term does'nt mean much over here in Hawaii, as it does on the "mainland" we tend to appreciate the hard work that one put's into they're ride, either a domestic or import, it does'nt matter at all, we, being on a small island, have more important things to worry about then catergorizing different cars, makes, models, etc.
Of course you not living here, I can understand for your thinking, so Mahalo for you point of view.
And be the way, theres pretty much nothing that can be said about my car that hasnt been said already, good or bad, and even if there hasnt' I've decided to fix her up the way that I decide to, cause it's impossible to make everyone happy, and believe me, I'm the type that would really try to.
My good buddy say's to me one day, "you pay the payment, insurance, gas, fixit bill's, and everything else, why and how in the world do these others, who dont know you in person, are they going to tell you what, when and how to do with your car? It's unbelieveable the gul some people have when they dont personlly like something, that you do, want, are, or what ever reason that they feel that they can impose they're personal feelings on to you, to a point to where it's pretty much telling you what they think you should do with your personable things"
and the thing that get's him most upset he say's is, "the way people will say these things, very nasty, and at times, not being so classy, and sometimes will end up being personal attacks at the you"

Not yet, tommorrow I'll take some.

lookds good hawian . i have a 91 turqoise vette and centerline rims. looks alot better than the stock rims.

Looks good man. As far as comments go about the wing, you bought the car, which means you can do what ever you want with it. I don't think some would say anything about it in person, for fear that they might get a "Hawaiian Punch"!

I can really appreciate all the hard work that people put into their rides. I don't always agree with their decisions, but I would never tell them that I think it looks like crap.

I've enjoyed the Hawaiian lingo, I have an old friend that used to live on the islands and he has promised to come over and translate for me.

Keep the pic's of the mods coming!

Aloha bra! :beer
