Well after 3 years of looking, and several setbacks (stupid tech sector!), I finally got my first 'vette! And she's a beauty!

1972 Lt-1 Coupe
989/417 - Warbonnet Yellow/Saddle Vinyl
M21
GS4 - 3.70 Differential
C50 - Rear window defogger
U69 - AM/FM Radio

Only 1 of 131 in Canada (in 1972)

It's all stock, but not numbers matching (the original blocked cracked and was replaced with a "correct" replacement). It's an older frame-off resto, but the engine was rebuilt again 3 years ago.

Cars in great shape... only a few problems:
- odometer/trip meter doesn't work
- clock doesn't work (I'll just get a quartz replacement)
- gas gauge occasionally pegs past full (probably just a loose wire)
- door buzzer always sounds even if key is not in (loose wire)
- driver's side door panel has small cracks/rips
- missing the rear window shelf
- horn doesn't work

(If anyone has tips/links for the above, by all means let me know!)

Got the car Saturday; spent Sunday cruising around with the tops off! Sweet!

Congrats jmp. Sounds like a winner to me.Get that bad boy checked out and drive down to Corvettes at Carlisle in August.

Wowzers!!

Sounds like a real nice Vette!!!!

Hey Burglar.... there aren't too many folks from the left coast that make the trek to Carlisle!! Check the driving distance.. more'n most vettes get on their odo's in 5 years!! Not that they aren't welcome..

Just a bit on the far side!

That's great!!! Congrats...makes me think of my first Vette...I was hooked forever. Best of luck and enjoy the experience.

Joseph,

Welcome to the insanity. First thing you need to do is fix the horn, you are going to have to warn people to get out of your way somehow. :D

Sorry,Don't come to Carlise

Tanzanite3-jmp- sorry,I forgot Vancouver is on the left coast.Had the good fortune of visiting several years ago, beautiful city.

Congrats!

I think you're going to love it!! :D

Have fun,
Barb :w

Congratulations! I am still waiting for mine.
(Must finish Garage First), Then I will be heading off to Corvette Specialties in Surrey. (Prices seem good there).
