Finally saw a C6 in person yesterday....

I finally saw one---silver, parked in a driveway in a subdivision about two miles from my house. I pulled in and slowly drove by it a couple of times.

I have to say it looks much better in person than in pictures. You can definitely tell Corvette went on a diet--it looks much smaller than a C5. I also thought the fixed headlights looked much better in real life as well. Very sharp. I thought the car looked to "blunt" in pictures---not true in real life. She is low to the ground and has a killer profile. I am definitely digging the C6 right now!

By the way, when does the C6 officially go on sale? Is this guy a GM exec or what? Or are they out and about now?

production line for the C6 opens July 19 - would expect cars to hit the dealers around August 2

Brett: The C6 Vette is currently being driven by numerous GM personnel to accumulate test miles before the plant is given the ok to start shipping. It's called the "Captured Test Fleet." GM had a few of them at the Mid-Ohio ALMS race couple of weeks ago.

I saw one at the National Corvette Museum last week. I agree about it looking better in person. Can't wait to see one on the road!

Yea too bad i am also not a GM Exec. I was also sceptical about the new C-6 headlights but it is comforting to know that they look better in person. But if had 50k to blow it would deff. be on a C6...
