OK I finally got to the track to see what the car will do since we put the new cam and P & P'ed heads. These times are just on motor w/o nitrous.
Old times
13.53 @ 102 mph
2.007 60'
2730' DA
New best
13.07 @ 106
1.997 60'
3495' DA
What Bob and I were able to determine is that my car is screaming for a 3000 rpm stall converter, and some 3.73 gears. The new cam doesn't really come alive until 3800 rpm, which is right around the 60' mark at the track. I was able to pull 5/10ths of a second off my E.T. with only 1/100th off my 60's. I think the track session confirmed what Bob and I already knew, let's get my chassis and driveline up to par with the motor.

P.S. A big thanks to Bob at www.advancedautocc.com for trailering my car to the track and helping with the set-up. I cant tell you how much he has helped me so far in my quest for speed. It's rare to find a speed shop where the owner put as much heart and time into your project as you do (actually he has put more than me!!).
