Well, I finally got the front suspension back together, new tires, headliner, oil changed, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, K&N, new valve cover gaskets and ZR1 mufflers on.
Oh....and most important.... PLATES!!! Now I am legal and can drive real roads, not just down a back country road to avoid police.
I really have to say that I am 100% hooked on Vette fever now. It rides great with being lowered. It feels smooth without wedges even and the front suspension makes not a sound. There is some rattle from the rear suspension. I read that is normal for an 84 with Z51???
The ZR1 mufflers from Mid America sound awesome at 60. To be honest, it seems to be a blast to just drive 60!!! Am I that old???? (50)
I am impressed with the Cross-fire injection. It has plenty of power for me. Am I that old??? And it is still throwing code 42. Tuesday it goes to a mechanic.
Anyway, I have a week off work coming up starting October 9th. I really would like to take it to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I think it would be as much fun as I had on all 3 of my Gold Wings.
The ride bringing it home was too stressed with watching all the gauges just in case....listening to the front spring bushings clunk on every joint in the interstate and worrying about traffic. That wasn't a real ride.....I just got back from a REAL ride. And what a ride it was.
