Hi All,
My wife and I visited the Carlisle show this past Saturday for the first time since buying my vette. Wow, what a show! We used the "back door" directions that were posted on this site and had no problems getting there Saturday morning. We got held up a while just outside of gate #3 but it wasn't too bad. I've never seen so many corvettes in one place - it was like being a kid in a candy store and I didn't know where to look next. We first stopped at Remo's tent, introduced ourselves and asked for advice on how to take it all in. Remo was very friendly and helpful - not at all like some of the comments in posts I've seen here (sorry, just kidding). We had a great morning and I think my wife almost enjoyed it too. By about 1 PM, however, I think she was beginning to suffer from heat stress so we headed for the car and an air conditioned exit.
It was really sad to hear about the storm and all of the damage and injuries. I certainly wish everyone injured a speedy recovery along with speedy repairs. I'm already thinking about next year. I'll definately attend again. As Carlisle is less than two hours away I'll have to work on a good reason to stay the weekend - perhaps to join the crowd under the table at the hotel!
