fit 93 tire sizes to a 92

This may have been discussed already (i'm sure it has) Can I just buy the 93 and up tires sizes and install on my 92 or do i need to make alterations to my car / rims?

Hi Bob,

Welcome to the Corvette Action Center from another New Hamshireite (ex). I used to live in Windham and work in Manchester.

If I understand you correctly, you would like to install the larger tires from a 1993 on to your 1992? You shouldn't have to make any alterations to the car.

For 1993:

Front: Goodyear Eagle GSC, P255/40ZR-17 (base), P275/40ZR-17 (ZR-1)
Rear: Goodyear Eagle GSC, P285/40 ZR-17 (base), P315/35ZR-17 (ZR-1)

For 1992:

Front: Goodyear Eagle GSC, P275/40ZR-17 (all models)
Rear: Goodyear Eagle GSC, P275/40 ZR-17 (excl. ZR-1), P315/35ZR-17 (ZR-1)

Great!! I need to buy tires this month. vette tires seem to wear faster than my lumina tires.. i find it very easy to break the rear loose , so any added meat in the rear would help..
