Floor pan problem.

Hi all, The strut/support on the passenger side of my sons '84 seems to have broken away (didn't have chance to get a good look at it) and is hanging down under the sill. Can anyone tell me what I need to do ? Looks like it could be dangerous. Thanks. Roger.

Hi oz, No, it appeared to be a cross support for the passenger side floor panwith some insulation packing on it. It's an '84 and I can't see the same thing on my '88. Thanks. Roger.

Was able to get a better look , it appears to be from the firewall, that has fallen down and back under the floor pan. How can this happen and what should I do ? Roger.

Hi Junk, I managed to get a look underneath. It's the the cross beam support on the passenger side floor pan,water has been leaking out from the heater seetling there and rusted through. I managed to pull it up some with a tie but it's going to need a body repair guy. I don't know how to download photos to here, perhaps someone could tell me how. Thanks Roger.
