I need to replace the floor pans on a 76. On the inside door sill there are three(3) dime size what looks like rivets, do I need to drill these out ?

Check the 76 assembly instruction manual (AIM) and compare what you find to your replacement pans. If memory serves, the rivets hold the door sill covers. Depending upon your new pans, you may not have to take them out.

:)

You do not take out the 3 rivets on the doorsill with the replacement floor pans.

Don't know if this will help, but it kinda goes like:

The pans are spot welded and riveted in place. These will both have to be drilled out. Once trimmed and test fit, the new pans will be spot welded in and riveted to the fiberglass toe-boards as were the originals.

After spot welding (drill 1/4" holes around the perimeter of the pan and then weld the pan through the holes. Work from side to side so not to build too much heat anywhere and warp it) seam sealer is used followed up by primer and undercoating. The front toe-board area is re-riveted and also sealed off.
