Where can I find 50 series flowmaster mufflers for my 1991 corvette. What kind of price can I expect.

I also heard someone say they went for $160 a pair or is that for the 40 series.

Thanks

One more thing where can I here the sound of a C4 vette with flowmasters.

Try www.TPIS.com

They have Flowmasters there. Click the catalog thingy at the top and then on the left, click exhaust.

I have an 89 vette and just purchased and installed (myself) 50 series flomasters and they sound GREAT !!!!! I bought them from Mid-America for about $325 a pair. I am not sure where you saw them for $160 a pair, but believe me, I shopped around for about a month, so save youe self the time and check out Mid.

I was considering 50's, but decided I wanted something a little louder then stock... They were right about what you quoted there... in fact, there wasn't a price difference from 40's to 50's... That's why it was a hands down choice for me....

I got mine from CorvetteCentral...they are the 50's series, and were $299 for the pair. I don't have a sound clip to share, but am pleased with them. There is no 'annoying' resonance at any rpm.
I got the part numbs of the flowmaster site, and called CorvetteCentral to verify what they listed were indeed the 50's.
Oh...and I installed them myself in less than an hour.
....btw...after I had the stock muff off, I cranked the car just to hear it.....worse sound I've ever heard.
Mine is a 91, L98.

Summit racing sells the Force II Cat-back

91 pn 17154 $369.95 (Summit # is FLO-17154)

just mufflers
84-90
$180.69 FLO-9424501-L
$180.69 FLO-9424501-R

91
$107.95 FLO-425501-L1
$107.95 FLO-425501-R1

Cat back is the best deal though

I put Dynomax Ultraflo's on last Dec. and just replaced them with Flowmaster Deltaflow 50's which I love. Summit has them at a great price so check them out. You can go to the Flowmaster web site for some sound.

One other thing I'd suggest if you go with the flows....get them ahead of time and paint them with a good high temp engine paint (rattle can) so they'll look good and won't get rusty looking....
