Forced air induction idea?

My Vette shop expert says the ram air, thru the front plate is a waste of money. I wanted one but have seen his work, which is the highest quality, spanning all generations of Corvettes and I trust his word enough to not buy one. He owns very cherry versions of three generations, including an absolutely pristine C-4. He has done mods for his picky customers on virtually all, including ZR-1s. He knows what goes and what blows.

My TPIS headers fit very well; the best of any header I ever installed.

I definetly did notice a difference with the Ram Air over the stock setup Whalepirot, I don't know if you are referencing to that, or just the open front license plate cutout. I am not sure if Ram Air is better over just a stock lid. I would have to say yes since it gets the air from underneath the car, which is a lot cooler then inside the hot engine compartment.
