The weather looks like Jolly Old England here in Alpharetta, Ga. today. The 'other car' is at the shop pressing the Corvette into duty. That means pushing buttons seldom used like the rear window and mirror heat, windshield wipers (gasp) and fog-running lights. It's a bit amusing cruising in the inclimate conditions with the great unwashed. I was having much more fun than the fellow citizens grinding to work in their mundane machines.

Can a car change your spirit and lift your mood? We know the answer to that.

Yes, but I always get depressed when I think of all the time I spent getting it really clean as I'm driving in the rain.......I usually use my take home cruiser in the rain, not to mention the gas is free. :D

My only foul weather equipment is the winter storage cover...

Amen to that :beer
And YES it does rain in Arizona...in fact it's been raining here for the last 4 days straight. Of course it started right after I washed it!:mad

My Foul Weather gear is my C5 :L Save the C4 for nice days

My foul weather gear just might be , stay at home. :ugh Course our good weather is worse than some peoples foul weather. :L

Very nice ride!!!
Thx nmacdonald....It's a daily driver so rain or shine, I'm in it!:Steer

Man I've been in Iowa around Christmas several times. Ice Station Zebra. 6*F and 45 mph sustained winds will put a cold hurt on a Southern boy.

You may be a Yankee if you have to cut a hole in the lake to fish.

It's a sunny 65*f out there right now. Last good day for a while, and yes she's out there topless and hot. Getting a bath today after running in the rain. It seems to be idling better....

JFNLSA, I bought mine from a guy in Mesa. What a great car you have, and I bet it stays clean about 8 minutes. But black is baaad. I think the lack of humidity out there preserved the electricals like those bombers out there. The paint survived the surface of the sun. Come out and see some dogwoods if you get sick of tumbleweeds.

Cheers!

:beer ya know, I love the black BUT it is hell to keep clean and w/ the glass top I'm cooking in there! I just had the windows tinted so maybe that'll help but sometimes I wish that I'd bought it in white or silver. BUT when it's clean, nothing looks better. Plus, I've always dreamed of owning a bada$$ black Vette!
:_rock See ya,
Jeff

I was gonna say the same thing! Very sharp. I still miss my C4, if It'd been a LT4, I might have kept it.

Yes, a car can change the way you see the world. Nothing like the view from behind a couple of front fender humps!! Save the Wave!!

My old '96 CE Vert:

Well Tom the fender humps do say it all no matter what generation. Just got waves from c5s at lunch. And in your case the blown ZO6 changes the time-space continuam negating any weather conditions. You may be getting younger in that thing as it approches light speed. Electron Blue was formulated by the gods for a vette. Only Torch Red is better, which all vettes are painted underneath like a primer coat.

It's going to be 4 months till it's this nice outside again. Time to get the center console ready for striper catchin' on Lanier in the freezing rain and let the vette rest up for Spring.

Thx ! Nice CE C4 ! I'd miss that too but that rocket you drive probably fills the void nicely!:D

I found the California Duster to be quite a life saver for our two black cars. It also gives me something to do while gassing up.

tlong, 6 deg isn't even all that cold yet. come in Jan when it actually gets cold. like -20 to -30 deg. ;LOL

That's all I would need is to break out a feather duster at the service stations.....Most everyone around here already thinks I have gone off the deepend:Silly

They say that I am married to my Vettes:puke

Mike

It's like marriage for some and adoption for others. Either one is a commitment based on pure love. My little bundle of joy is safe under its blankey in the car bedrooom with a night light. All bathed after the traumatic ill weather episode.

Irrational attention to these cars is normal. 2 days ago I went to Lowes for something and parked way off in the corner, probably 100 feet from the nearest car. After shopping I was horrified to see a car parked next to mine, with a huge empty radius around them. "Smartass" I think to myself.

Wait...it's a vette. A Spiral Grey C5 vert with the top down nestled in there with its older sister. Wow the kindreds! That's what this vette thing is all about to me.

The only foul weather protection to have is ANOTHER C4 for foul weather:D

I'm slowly eating my words now as I am doing it this winter, but I try to use my daughters car whenever possible to the train station when she stays at nannys, and we have a deal worked out when it snows.:upthumbs
