2003 50th Annversary Red coupe, beautiful !
I found a 1973 corvette white coupe in someones back yard today. I don't know if it's for sale, ( I rang the doorbell twice and no one answered) by it's a white 73 coupe, in rought condition, ie: bumpers rotted away and windows so dirty I can't see inside too well. It's about four miles from my home in Delaware County PA, it's been sitting outside for the last six years, but it was running and has a state inspection and emissions sticker from 2002, so it must have been run then. I don't know if it's a big or small block , a L-48,L-82 or a LS-4 but it has the square exhaust outlits. It needs a total resoration and if your interested I'd go with you to see if they want to sell it or whatever.

If they didn't answer the door -they aren't home or not interested. I'd be careful digging around in someone's backyard without their permission(dog, gun). Watch out for the cops in Haverford Township.

All 1970-1973 Corvettes had the rectangle exhaust tips. The problem here is that it has been a snow belt car up until it was parked and now it has set on the bare ground for years. That means constant moisture under the car. I'd be suprised if it has a usable frame. I'd want to get it real cheap.

Oh you guys are 100% correct, I have no idea what the frame looks like, but as is the case in many finds like this, the folks who own it, more than likely won't sell it and would be happy to watch it sit there and rot to a pile of rust under a canvas cover. One day they'lll life the cover and fine a plastic shell and nothng else. I know I'm wasting my time with these things.

My advice... talk to the owner... and keep bugging him. You'll wear him down.

Talk to the owner, yes. Keep bugging him? No.
If you're serious about the car, tell the owner and leave your name and number. Go home and and get on with life. If he/she wants to sell, you'll get a call.
