Found the howl!

Probably to no-one's surprise, my 86 has a rough bearing on the driver's side, exactly where the howl was emminating from. One spindle is also a little ground down , and there was a really loose u joint on one side, and the bearings were virtually siezed on the other side. I don't think the previous owner had a frigging clue. Now, where do I source some of these parts, other than GMPP, or my local Canadian dealer with ripoff prices? I'm looking for either cheapest price regardless of value, because I'm going to sell the thing, or best value for the money because my consience might kick in.

Try Rock Auto for these parts, or maybe even NAPA. This is the one chain that sometimes pleasantly surprises me on parts cost, and I feel comfortable with the quality.
