Frame VIN locations.

I know the frame has the VIN on it in two locations but do not know exactly where. I am transferring title and need to have the local law types check to match the title.

there usually are 4 on either side of the front frame rails...i think its the last 6 or last 8 of the vin...if i remember correctly they are etched in the frame rail in front of the shock towers [on the outside of the frame]....and then there should be 2 more back where the frame gets real thick and curves toward the firewall...one on each side on either the inner or outer portion of the frame... then there is one on the engine and one on the side of the transmission case....i have never seen one anywhere else on the frame...then you have the vin at the windshield and then on the door tag...sometimes they have a tag with the vin on the underside of the console door and sometimes on the underside of the rear compartment door lid.........then they usually put a build sheet with vin on the fuel tank[usually glued to the rear of the tank where the straps wrap around it]...then,they usually stuff a build sheet with the vin and codes inside the hollow portion of the front k-frame assembly,where the front spring slides through...

Car had no motor and trans. and windsheld vin was removed by uhhh ahem

i was wrong...i just looked at one of the frames i have and the two vins are only on the drivers side of the front frame...one just foward of the shock towers and one towards the thick part of the frame where it curves towards the firewall...sorry
