I am offering two used Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires, size 295/35ZR18, with 4/32nds tread depth remaining. Wear is very even.

These were factory original rears on my 2002 Z06, and came off when my fronts wore out from too much factory camber setting for the way I drive. I coated these with Armor-All, put them in plastic bags, and stored them inside in the basement. I now can see that I won't need them, because the next set of tires is also wearing the fronts faster than the rears.

These two tires are FREE to anyone who is willing to pay the shipping cost plus $5 for my gas to get them to the shipper. I took photos of the tires; if you email me, I'll reply with those pictures.

I had the same camber problem with my 01 Z06. I was really surprised when I saw the right front inside worn all the way through at 7,000 miles. I have never heard of the settings being so far off from the factory on any car, let alone a high dollar sports car. I bought the car brand new and it sat in the garage most of the time. I fought with the dealer about fixing it (without luck) warrenty time had passed and they said tires were not covered anyway. I ended up buying 4 new tires and had to have all the settings done correctly.

camber

I've never faulted Chevrolet for this. The specifications for camber are intentionally more aggressive for the Z06 than the base Corvette. It is set up for giving better performance on the track, and that is one of the selling points of a Z06. Mine was set correctly at the factory at the high end of the tolerance for a Z06. The only "problem" was, that I didn't drive the car hard enough often enough. So the front tire wear was uneven.

If I'd been autocrossing it a lot, or taking it to driving schools, it probably would have worn pretty evenly. I determined recently that one run in a typical autocross uses up about 3% of tire tread life. If you participate in a five run autocrosses like we have here, it will use up street tires in about seven weekends of doing that.

I had the camber reset to the high end of regular Corvette specs. But I didn't consider that getting it done "correctly." I just accepted that I needed to detune the suspension if I wanted to get good tire life, given the way I drive it.
