My Dentist has expressed an interest in buying my 86 Corvette. He is semi Retired and lives in Fla. He flies into Phila every 2 weeks .. Grinds a few theeth for about 4 days and back he goes to Fla.

He owns the pratice in center city and has an apaartment next door to his office building. He says he's going to garage it their in Phila and tag it for Fla since they don't have inspection.

Now..when he needs service I'd like to be able to recomend a good Corvette only repair shop as close as possible to Center City Phila.

Any recomendations..???

County Corvette is located in West Chester, PA, about a 40 minute drive west of Philly. I have had some work done on my '92 there with no problem however I have heard some random, negative things from a few others. They have a complete restoration shop, custom spray booth, mechanical repair shop, parts department and two showrooms of cars. Their website is www.countycorvette.com.

Just check your gas tank for "Pasta Noodels" Or " Gab-A-Gol" When You pick up the Vette...:L

But all kidding aside.. I checked there web page but no mention of working on C-4's or having anyone Qualified in C-4 Tech ..(TPI Systems...School Trained)...Very Important..!!

Seems ..more geared toward resto gack...????

But Thanks for the link.. I did send them and email requesting C-4 Info..:beer

Their showroom is full of C-4's and they guarantee their cars. I would expect they have someone that can work on C-4's(?).

Eh, watsa' matta u?

We take the car in, we have a little food, a little home made vino and we TALK.

Mark...Try County Corvette in West chester......They are priced a bit high, but do dynamite work....Some negative press about them, but not for their cars or mechanical ability, just that they aren't as customer friendly as some folks would like. Good Luck.

Thanks Andy.. I did check out there web page..it does look good.. But I don't like the idea of the not so good with people thing... I won't be the one taking the car in that'll be the new owner my Dentist..But He can Be a "D Head " Right back at you......:L I wonder if anyone here as delt with them... Is the Non Customer friendly..Thing a major problem with a lot of people or just a few?????

Hi MArk.....You know, I have heard the "negative" issue before, but I myself have never seen it..I live about 15 minutes from them and visit their shop a few times a year. They are nothing but friendly towards me. I do not believe it is an issue that would prevent me from buying a car from them or have my car serviced, even though their rates are high.....The quality of the work is TOP NOTCH!! Around here, if you have had your car at County Corvette to be worked on, people know it was DONE RIGHT!!!!

Mark..BTW, check this site out...www.makoshark2.com. A great group of vette folks as well!!!

KEN'S PRECISION AUTO. 215 969 9633. I have used him for my C3 for the last 20 years. He is meticiulous, the car is always correct. He' s a one man shop. He loves Vette's, he had a 69 L88 and he knows how to work on old stuff. He's extremly honest. He's not cheap , but you always get what you pay for. I was referred to him by a close friend of mine, who owns multiple auto dealerships. He's the guy they send the car to when their mechanic can't figure out the problem. He's located off the Roosvelt Blvd and Welsh Rds, that's about a 30 minute ride from CC. Good luck.
