Ok, when I got my car I noticed a "clattering" sound coming from the front area (going over bumps and rough road). I thought it was the suspension or "A" arms at first, but everything was solid. Then I just thought it to be wiring or something.
Recently I read something about brakes. Something about how our front brakes "float"? Sure enough, I reach around the back-side of both front tires and shake/jiggle the calipers and they were making the distinctive "clattering: sound.
What needs to be done to dampen the noise?
I haven't taken the tires off to investigate closer, yet, but am planning on doing that over this Thanksgiving holiday. Just need some some quick advice as to what I should be looking for or seeing in the brake and caliper area.
Thanks in advance!
