front bumper cover,

hey everyone,
i will be getting my front bumper cover painted next month,i know i have to remove it(should be fun)but after talking with the painter,im not sure if you can just sand and paint.my front end looks like $hit,poor job before i bought the car.i dont want to go thru this again.the front of my car looks like it was hit by machine-gun fire.ive seen 30 year old beaters with less rock-chips.the car is black too.i would like to print some kind of guideline the painter can look at before he quotes me.thanks for any advise,later,Todd.

Iam not sure what you want.He can do this 2 ways,either strip and paint the bumper or sand and primer and sand and paint.The primer will fill up the nicks.The second way is probably the way he will do it.
