I've got a shimmy, shimmy, shaken going on in the front end of my 1996. Most pronounced when the car sits for a while and will subside (but not go away completely) after a good warmup. I've had the wheels balanced and the tires have about 70% tread left. It doesn't appear to have the least bit of tendency to pull one way or another but I'm not sure that tells me it isn't out of align. But it does still have the 8 yr old Bilstein shocks. How about those rubber control arm bushings - I know they go bad over the years. Could any or all of these be contributing? The car has never been wrecked or mistreated.

A few thoughts are appreciated.

Hi, some tires are prone on getting flat spots when the car sits for some time but do check up the other thing you mentioned as well. Do a wheel alignment.
