Front License plate question

Hi

I just took off the front license plate filler. that's the one painted the same color as the car where a license plate goes.

First of all there were no screws and secondly there are two holes where the the screws should go into there is olny a hole with nothing to screw into.

Hi Kingman!!
I'm not 100% sure, but I think there should be screws in there along with white plastic inserts tapped for screws. If not, no biggie, Pep Boys and the like sell a package with screws and inserts for a couple of bucks. Also, if your installing the front plate (I live in NJ also), there is a black surround (for lack of a better description) which goes on over the 2 sides and bottom edge of the license plate. Then you screw this down to keep everything in place.

Just figured it out.

I found an unopened package in the cargo area with the black license surround, and l alos have the color matching one that l ordered.

There should be two small screw hole at the base of the cover.If the car had been built in Jan of 03 and the holes we're missing it might have been my fault.

I was a guest worker at B.G .One car was so bad i kept it . Look real hard in the windshield and note the yellow defect list.Met some first class auto workers. Steve
