Now that I've moved to IL I have to run a front plate. I ordered a clear plastic cover from MAD so at least I maintain the contour of the front bumper. I thought I had instructions or saw a post previously on how to remove the cover but naturally I can't find it now. Instructions for the cover were no help either.

Any instructions on how to removed the Corvette front plate cover would be appreciated so I don't screw something up like I always do. I'm assuming I'll need get some self-taping bolts for the plate itself because I doubt GM would already have them behind the cover. Do I need a frame or anything or does the plate mount directly to the bumper?

Thanks for the help.

Baldie88, don't quote me on this, but I think this is how the procedure goes.

Push up on the bottom of the cover, you'll notice 2 screws behind it. Undo the screws and the cover pops off.

I feel for ya pal. I live in NJ and have to run a front plate too. SUXXX!!!!!

Good luck,

Chris

Just want to alert you that depending on where you live (or drive) in Illinois, you may be at risk for a ticket if using a license plate cover, even if it is clear. They say the clear ones can fog up or get a haze on them which supposedly obscures the plate.
