front liscence plate letters (1993)

does anyone sell "corvette" letters for this area other than the flimsy peel off stick on ones? i know they are available for c5's but can't find for c4's --tried the cheap thin ones but they are hard to apply correctly & did not last very long --they are just vinyl--not plastic

I've been looking for quite some time for front license plate letters other than the very thin ones that are available for C4's...have had no luck so far! I'm about ready to have a pin-striper paint the letter indentations red!

Are you talking about the ones that are applied to the plastic plate cover???

If so the only place I have seen those is in the Eckler's and Corvette Central Cataloges.

I went with the expensive ones for the back of the car that are black during the day and turn reflective at night. Then ran into the same problem for the front. So I pulled the plate cover and painted inside the embossing with about 5 coats of black touchup. Then 2 coats of clearcoat touchup. It lasts a while but you end up having to repaint parts because it gets dinged up.
