This forum has been to helpful but...

Need help! I have to change out the front foglight and turnsignal lens and it appears the only way of doing this is to take off the front nose clip. Does anyone know of a way other than this to replace the lens unit?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

I do not know about the fog light but here is for the turn signal.
1- Jack the front of the car.
2- Remove the font fascia lower closeout panel. Small (if I recall 6 x 10 inches) piece of plastic under the front fascia at the left and right corner.
3- Release the brake caliper cooling duct from the front fascia, then reposition the duct. You pull the brake duct and move it so you have access to the lamp assembly.
4- Remove the appropriate socket from the lamp assembly.
5- Remove the bulb from the socket.
Remove the spring on the left and the bolt on the right of the parking light assembly.

Thanks but I see I forgot to mention that my vette is a C4 87 coupe. That manual is good but it appears that may be for a C5. But thanks for the help anyway.

Ouuupppssss. Sorry, my fault. I forgot I had switch from the C5 to the C4 section.

I just took a look in my C4 manual. You need to remove the front bumper facia. The lamp housing attaching screws will then be accessible. Remove the two attaching screws, remove twist lock socket and replace housing.

and in case you need it. Here is the front fascia removal.

1- Raise hood to gain working clearance.
2- Disconnect battery ground cable.
3- Disconnect bulbs from parking lamps and side marker lamps.
4- Remove wheelhouse seal from upper edge of fascia and remove 4 screws each side.
5- Remove 12 attaching top of fascia to impact bar reinforcement.
6- Remove 4 screws attaching rear vertical edge to splash shield (each side) and 2 upper 6-inner screws attaching fascia to support.
7- Raise vehicle, remove four screws each side attaching fascia to outer air dams.
8- Remove 4 screw attaching fascia to lower edge of the impact bar
9- Remove screws attaching fascia to skid plate
10- Lower vehicle – remove fascia from vehicle by lifting upper edge of fascia away from reinforcement and at the same time rotating fasica downward.

Geez, you guys. You don't have to remove anything. I changed my fog lights and turn signal bulbs within the last year and don't remember having to remove the fascia.

Yes. changing the bulb is easy. Changing the lens is more complex.:)

Well complex? Try to remove the facia of an 850 BMW. ;-)
