I recently purchased the Callaway AeroBody kit for my ZR-1:D. My question is do you put a spoiler under the front bummer? Stock? Custom? None?

I can never tell from the pictures I've seen and I knew this is the place to get the correct answer!

thanks!!

Spolier and it is the tall version....Call Joann @ Callaway and she can send you the right one (cheaper than GM)...its not the 1990 one from Ecklers. The car will overheat without it as it directs the airflow into the radiator.

Thanks for the info. I will call Joann on Monday. I am also curious as to how the insides of the door look. where the body kit meets the door.

The cars use the stock center section of the (factory) spoilers.

My 1993 (CL1) is different in design than the deep spoiler of my B2K. When I replaced the B2K spolier, it used the center section (only!) of the long air dam and is referenced under GM's part database for B2K's however, since your car is a LT5 car (right??), just use the center piece of your original spoiler.

- I hope this helps.

re: the doors, EricVonHa had a thread about that 2 years ago when he was asking what might be a similar question. If a search yurns up nothing, I am certain one of us can take a picture of the area you are asking about - Just inquire :beer

Hope to see some pics of your progress :v :w

I have several pics I will post next week. Could someone here open your door and take a picture looking at the door edge. Where the kit would meet the original door panel. Are these glassed together? Eric would probably know...

TIA

I spy... with my little eye... a "big block" hood! :)

I found some other post by Eric, but I couldn't get some of the pictures to show up.

Looking for pictures of the back of the door looking at the edge of the door piece, also any pictures of the inside of the door jam where the rocker meets the back small fender piece. That could be from either view (the back tire looking forward and/or inside the door frame looking back.

Also, what is the mix of AeroBody cars that painted the rub strip black vs. body colored?

Just looking for some feedback on that.

thanks

Hey, it's no bother! :m

The other pic will have to keep 'till Monday though - it is STORMING pretty bad tonite :crazy

No worries! I'll keep you guys posted too as things go along. I am painting the car the new corvette color Atomic Orange Metallic Tintcoat. It is an awesome color.

Trying to decide what to do with the emblem in the nose too. Unfortunetly I don't have a Callaway one.

Suggestions?

I did notice on the thread where there were lots of Callaway pictures that some did mount the the two side pieces of the spoiler. BTW the middle spoiler piece was included with the kit. My installer just located it :D

Wow! We rarely ever have floods like that here in Dallas. In some of the low points in the DFW area though, some flooding happens, but no rivers!

geez.... rain, rain, rain, when will it go away...

Stay dry
