For Sale: PINK (that’s right, Pink! ...with Buckskin interior) 1976 t-top 350ci L-48/automatic trans Corvette. Located at Florence SC. Phone (843) 665-5760. Asking $10,000 USD.

This is not my car nor do I have any interest in it nor do I know the owner. I’d seen this pink shark around here for about 10 years. I noticed it again about 2 months ago w/ FS sign on it. I figured “yea it’s fugly PINK but what the heck maybe I can pick it up for $2K” WRONG! So I took a look last night & spoke with the female owner (“Kim”). I looked at it only briefly before discovering the price was way beyond what I may’ve been willing to offer. I quickly got to the asking price ... when I was told $10K I simply walked away. It seems in very good condition; mileage shows about 32K ... owner says original motor rebuilt about 33K miles back ... so car probably has 132K or 232K miles. It is definately painted PINK ... a very light, pastel, certainly-feminine pink as found on Mary Kay cosmetics’ Cadillacs. The paint is in good condition .... but I found NO indication this color was a result of some rare/unusual original factory order. I walked before I even took a look at trim tag. Female owner tells me it was pink when she got it; that she’d owned it for about three years and had purchased it from a female. SC License tag expires 01 DEC 02. Frankly, I think the car is way overpriced ... even if it had nice original-color paint job. I suspect the market for a pink 76 vette with buckskin interior is quite limited. This would make a really neat car for some special girl ... but @ $10,000 I doubt it’ll move soon. I dunno anything more about the car ... if you're interested please phone Kim @ 843-665-5760.

BTW, if you've never seen a pink vette ... IMHO, pink does not look good on a vette.

I would say no more than 7K would be reasonable.First thing I`d do is paint that bad boy!

Don't paint it just change your lifestyle. Let's see, change the interior with seat covers made like a bengal tiger is striped, buy yourself a wide brimmed hat, a long beaver skin fur coat, a pair of purple platform shoes, a polyester leisure suit in yellow with sequins, get a walking cane with a glass knob top, at least 3 gold chains to wear around your neck and recruit a couple of girls of questionable character and you are on your way to a new career!!!! Hey, Carlisle is only a few months away so get moving man.

this may be a Mary Kay vette. they gave several vette's away as a promo years ago. if it is it was ordered in primer and painted at the dealer. i can not vouch for this info it comes from my 71 year old mother. she has sold Mary Kay for as long as i can remember. i have never heard her tell a lie so i would say its good info. i don't know if this would make it worth more money or not guess it would depend on what you think of Mary Kay.
