Going too fast over the hill.
My 66 got 19 to 20.5 mpg on the highway with 3.08 differential gears, and still
had enough torque to just let the clutch out at idle in first gear without
stalling. I had this diff rebuilt about 8 years ago for a spare, sealed it in a
bag, and boxed it up.
The rebuilder replaced clutches, seals, and any other
parts that looked worn.
cast date a223, stamped LRW037E2 and has GM gears.
$550

Where did you get it rebuilt? Do you still have it?
