I just noticed last night while driving that the 4 top buttons, Fuel Info, Gauges, Eng/Met, Trip/ODO do not light up. The 2 buttons below Reset - Fuel and Trip do light up. Now, i admit i was in the info center and console this past weekend tightening up some bolts, etc. But not it this top area.

Is there a bulb or a wire that may have gotten loose? I'm comfortable with removing the bezel, etc. Probably do this weekend.

Here's a picture of the circuit board showing two bulbs that back light the DIC buttons. It appears the top bulb on your DIC is burnt out.

Not sure if the bulb and socket is sold as an assembly or if the bulb pulls out of the holder. If the bulb doesn't pull out you might have to get creative and get a 12 volt bulb at Radio Shack that you can Bubba up and make it work with the original bulb holder.

Wow! Great pics. Thanks! i know what i'll be doing this weekend.

So this problem actually fixed itself. I was driving on the highway and hit a bump and those lights came on! haha :confused

I'll still take some time to check out the bulb. Something must be loose.

The light went out again, so i went to a electonics store (after trying radio shack) and they had this exact socket w/ the bulb unit! Easy.

You "can" remove the bulb by unwinding it from around the plastic socket piece. So if you can find the bulb alone it wouldn't be that hard to repair. I also had a little orange cover that slipped over my bulb.

All fixed now. :)

I noticed on the left side of the dash, that only the head lights switch icon and dial are illuminated, not the traction control button icon nor the one for the parking lights. Are these supposed to be lit or not? (The light that tells me the parking lights are on works fine)

I dont want to disassemble only to find this is the way they are supposed to be. I could not find a pick someone took at night.
