Hello,
This is my first posting.
I have a mcburnie conversion on a 76 chassis, prestnt drivetrain is ls6/th2004r/4:11 rear.
Would like to know if anyone has any knowledge re fi unit for bb truck.
I have access to port injection for 99 pickup (resembles ford injection w/intake on side). Ports are correct size for oval port head (approx 1.5 x 2.0). I know can use oval (carb) intake on square motor. So mechanically will install.
Height seems to work also (hood clearance). Takes conventional distributer.
Questions are: 1. will this "manifold" pass enough air for approx 6000 rpm 454 ? 2. is the ecu programable enough to reset rev limiter to 6000, and is fuel curve able to work with this motor. 3. why haven't I seen this used before ???, if usable would have thought would have seen.
Any help or input would be appreciated, due to fuel handling and drivability problems want to get rid of carb. Aftermarket fi was considered but have heard no possitive feedback re any (holley, accell etc).
thanks !
