Been having this low idle stutter which graduated itself into a mid xceleration cutout I thought I would be calling a tow truck last night. Pulled over shut it down waited a minute started it back up and the situation improved itself enough to make it home.Today I started it and it was back to stutter at idle after warmed up,runs great for about the first 3 mins or so.anyway I checked the ohms across the injectors and had 5 of them come back at 5.8-7.2 and two of them at 16.8 - 17.2 and one came back with a reading of 42.8 by the way this one doesnt seem to make a difference when it is unpluged, any ideas???:confused ps Thanks for all your help so far guys, also its looking like im gonna be changing the injectors anyone have any tech pages on this(links) as i have never been into this car before and dont have a gm manual yet!!

Those resistance readings are way off, I believe stock injectors are like 14-16 ohms, (cold) that 42ohm injector probably isnt working at all.

injectors

I listened to what everyone is saying about John, from fic injectors and they were sure right he set me up with a set of Bosch Design IIIs with all the gaskets needed for the job one phone call and they were at my door a coupla days later, plus he`s real knowledgable guy to talk with about this topic and goes above and beyond to help. Havent had a chance to install them but will keep everyone posted! http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/shop/

:)Well I finally got around to putting in the new injectors that I bought from jon from fic and they did the trick! Thanks for the help everyone!

Wish I had known about fuel injector connection when I was looking for mine 2 years ago. I bought a set of Accells. So far so good. But who knows for how long.

It is much quicker to check the injectors with a stethoscope. If one is not clicking it is stuck. If one sounds way different than the others, then it is worth getting out the ohmmeter.

If one of them doesn't click, don't assume that it's bad. At that point connect a NOID light to the connector. If there is light, but when connected no click, it's a bad injector. If there is no click AND no light the harness or ECM is the problem.
