Fuel leak on 72 HELP!!!!

I was diagnosing a carb backfiring and hesistation on my 72 T top and saw a couple of drops of gasoline come out of my vacuum advance hose on the carb mounting point and the same on the distributor mounting point when I pulled the hose off! Could it be the accelerator pump is bad? What should I do?! HELP!!!!!

Sounds like you have an internal leak in the carb; there are no fuel circuits connected to the vacuum advance port. Time for carb teardown and rebuild. :ugh

That is what I'm doing currently. Debated wether or not to just get a new one, but seeing as how the engine is stock, I wanted to keep the good ole' quad.
