I had some mechanical work done on my 2000.
The mechanic disconnected the battery as a safety issue. Since then the fuel readouts are crazy. MPG is a low number and keeps going up as you watch it even if not at speed. It acts like a timer rather than a fuel readout. The same for range and average. It is almost like it has no reference at all. The mechanic says that a will take many miles for the computer to normalize. Has anyone experienced this??
