Fuel Tank Sending Unit

Hi guys,

My fuel gauge is stuck at 3/4.......where on the tank is the sending unit, do I have to drop the tank to get to it?

Sorry, forgot to mention that it is a 69 coupe.

It's at the bottom of the tank underneath the spare.
